Sound
I just listen to the sound of my CD-player through my DAC. That's the ONLY thing that counts to me.
I am not interested in theories, or theoretical limbo-jumbo, or measurements!
Please remember all these efforts are made to make a sound-machine!
If you want to do it another way, OK by me. Just show your clock and I will listen to it in my system.

But seriously,
I just wanted to say the same what Andrei has told: it's absolutely not expensive to make a phase noise setup - though needs a good piece of read up before. And a sound card & analyzer software.
Andrei, a very beautiful piece of paper, thanks a lot!
Ciao, George

Is class C realy so good in crystal oscillator design?
Maybe in power oscillator. M.M.Drisccoll in his paper "Two-stage self-limiting series mode type quartz crystal oscillator" come to completely diferent conclusions : linear fashion near class A amplifying stage with common base limiting stage and series resonsnt crystal unit.
