Well we are growing. My guess is the best time is what after christmas? It will let everyone get things setup with kids and school, tall the holidays in the fall will get in the way. But the winter is usually the doldrums for holidays after christmas.

After Christmas seems a long way away. What about November? No holidays there and most people aren't Xmas shopping yet. Halloween is over and the weather is usually cold and rainy. Might be a good time for a GTG.
We can do a Sunday this time, say the 14th or 21st? I'd like to hear from those who missed out last time because of work or other commitments. Speak up and be heard if you're interested, otherwise the same guys will pick a day and run with it.😀

Hello everybody. Glad to read that many would like to get together again. I sure would like to attend. But work keeps me busy in the Fall, so I may not have anything new to bring before early next year. Always ready to listen to other people's kit though - or have a glass of wine 🙂.

How difficult is it to book the place we had last time? That was a great venue and the sound was excellent.
Unless any oh you dudes have a better venue in mind.

It should not be too difficult to book the same place if this is what you want. The rate I got last time is $7 an hour. I will be happy to call and reserve it once there is a date for which we know there is enough interest.
If everything else fails, I would recommend a get together at the end of the winter, similar formula but a bit earlier than last time - so we don't have to run the air conditioning.
If we're not sure, we can always test the waters, for example meet in a restaurant and do some planning over a glass of wine.
And of course, suggestions for a different venue are always welcome !

I have one channel of one of my "ebay treasures" running. If we meet late September I may have the other channel going as well.

Great to hear that your amps are comming alive. I'm waiting on a slow boat from China to get a whack load of ribbon tweeters for my line array. Awesome price but I have to wait for the shipping! Then I will have a line array from HE double hockey sticks!
As far as I know we have Pierre to thank for the last meet. He was the chief cook and bottle washer. This one should not cost a fortune either if we can get the same place. If any or all feel like putting some bucks in it could work out well. Any surplus could go to Pierre to cover his costs. Generous dude that he is! Those muffins were really good. Hey we could call Pierre the muffin man!

Well, I just moved to Almonte and I'm looking forward to any local events that may be on the horizon.
Ok Gents. Hows about we setup another weekend to have lunch and hash out the next meet? After 1:00 on Saturday or SUnday I'm usually free. So If that makes any sense a late lunch for the interested few? Same place as last time? Or a new place? Mark
Pierre, I was quite satisfied with the venue...with the minor caveat that I knew I was close, but couldn't find the right street to get me to the door (twice)! But as you know, I did eventually get there.
So Mark...my input towards a consensus is that we return to the same location again, as long as we can come up with a date & Pierre can book it. I am not able to join any preliminary meeting this weekend, but I'll look ahead for a date & keep in contact.

Hi Ron The weekend is not set. We have to pick a weekend. I completely agree on the venue. Great sound for such an empty space. Next event if we get the same place we post a map! Mark
In case anyone is contemplating a small TM, I have a couple of PE Black Curved boxes for sale cheap. They have the holes cut for flared ports and I have some baffles.
