CAn shiva get to the all important <20hz tone thats soneeded for organ music?/.....that is using the low q design from adire's website??? cani???...or if not how low can it go otherwise......ported andsealed.......ie..low q ported and low q sealed.

In a typical room it should be able to hit 20Hz either Ported or Sealed, however there may not be enough SPL to get the real feel of air moving.

My best friend in Denver has a IB manifold array using Shiva's. It uses a bare taste of EQ, and it can shake his house at 15 Hz and even lower.
Of course, it comes down to Sd and Xmax, as well as the system tuning. IB's are "tuned" at the free air resonance of the driver, and the Qts. So "anechoic" response will be down 6 dB or more at this point, in a gradual slope from the 100Hz area. In room response depends on architecture and boundary loading. Doesn't usually require much Eq to make it very extended. Not really a lot of power, either, compared to the Uber drivers with 1" Xmax but low sensitivity.
But you gotta use a few of them- a dozen is a nice round number, isn't it? 😀

The 'taste of EQ' that Jon mentions is the key. I use twelve 12" Titanics (a similar driver) and can confirm the 6 dB rolloff.
Don't believe the simulation plots that show flat response down to 20 Hz or so. It isn't going to happen without help.

I don't think Andre is contemplating an IB although it is a great setup. To get a Shiva to 20 Hz you'll need a vented enclosure and be relying on room gain. The amount of gain is going to vary considerably from room to room so I don't think anyone can say for sure what results you will actually get. In a sealed enclosure it's not going to happen. You may be able to get to the mid-20s in ideal conditions. If you have the room consider a quarter wave tube or a highly overdamped but still long (6 feet) tube.
