A coat or two of good quality primer will suffice, with a light sanding between coats of course. 😉

I've got more problems.
I'm going to paint the front baffle and veneer the rest with some Iron-on veneers. However, my wood work was quite shocking and the joins isnt flush. The exposed edge is lower than the joining side. This makes it very difficult to sand/plane.
Can I use putty to make the join flush?
if i use putty, will i need to seal the exposed edge before i apply the putty. After I apply the putty, will i need to seal that as well?
