How good is all FET power regulator?

I recently found an all FET power regulator DIY kit from Taiwan's www.my3c.net. It is quite expensive when compared to other power regulator DIY kits. May I know what is the advantage in using all FET in power regulator?

Yet, before I purchase, I need to know:

1. How good is all FET power regulator?
2. What are the characteristics of this type of regulator?

A positive feature is that it can be very low power at steady state, regardless of output current, hard to destroy.

Negative things: Rather high output impedance, self oscillation, low open loop gain, slow....

I just noticed that borbelyaudio.com has restricted some IP addresses to visit its website. Wonder why he restricted IPs from China?

I have had attacks from China but of some mysterious reason I got blocked myself from my home IP number....

You may ask Erno if he had done something or his web hotel (I'll guess it's the later).
