Hello,
some time ago i bought a used Kenwood L1000T tuner. Very nice device!!
While trying to understand what Kenwood has constructed there, i realized
that i do not really understand how that simple IF-stages works :-o.
I am especially wondering where the RSSI DC signal is coming from in
that IF stage. I expected to see just a pure AC signal at the emitters of that
differential amplifier but obviously something puts a DC there which is correlated
to the IF level strenght.
Can anybody explain why there is a IF level related DC at the emmiters?
Thank you
Dirk
