How do you clean the wax out of your ear-buds?

I knew that this topic would eventually come up:

They are the most randomly variable, placebo prone, subjective, biased, non-repeatable and unreliable component in our system- affected by mood, being tired, amount of tinnitus, hearing loss, high frequency loss, fatigue, diet, hair and wax etc etc. It's amazing we can judge anything with our ears.

As I get older (and my tinnitus comes and goes with how tired I am) I have to resign myself to admitting that I have "bad ear days" that are just not good for critical listening. I usually have to be careful about not turning the volume up too loud, as my ears fatigue really easily and start ringing. I discovered that if I allow my ears to fill up with hot shower water and drain out at least 10 times or so through the course of a shower that I can keep the wax way down and prevent that problem. (maybe that's a captain obvious statement?) Other than that, lots of rest and really enjoy those good days.

If you do have an ear wax problem, then the solution is to get it out on time using
the right instrument to apply a mixture of warm water/alcohol under certain pressure.
It will prevent inflammatory issues, pain and possibly infection.
