Have been given a Kikusui TOS6100 AC Low Ohm Tester / earth continuity tester and I'm not actually sure what it's used for 😱
Would it be for safety testing the earth continuity from chassis to plug of line / mains fed equipment or appliances ?
It has a low voltage AC (8 volts) output , variable between 3 & 30 amps with meters for resistance and current. There are buttons for test and a dial for setting time with indicators for pass and fail.

On the Kikusui web site under support, I found a database of operation guides.
KAI-Operation Manual Database: Test & Measurement Instruments and Power Supplies
Scroll down to your model and download it.

Thanks , I had downloaded that. Just had a read and it does seem that is just to test earth integrity of consumer appliances in an automated way to established standards. Will set up a test rig and try it out sometime.
