@franck, what's the size of your barn?
Considering it's volume significantly larger than a livingroom, a front loaded horn or a band-pass would be more suitable than a bass-reflex.
For workout music you should not be concerned about frequencies below 40 Hz, and focus on SPL in the 50-100 Hz range.
