Gents,
This is a factory under-seat subwoofer enclosure with a 10" Morel SW-10 shallow driver installed. Internal volume of the box is 1.08 cubic feet. It is lined with closed-cell foam and partially stuffed with poly-filler. It's completely sealed.
The specs of the Morel driver are attached.
Currently it exhibits a Peak at around 250hz which i'd love to get rid of and flatten the response. I'm unable to install an EQ.
When you gents look at the driver specifications (and understand them unlike me), in your opinion:
-should this enclosue be ported? (if yes, tuned to what frequency)
-is the 250hz peak caused by the car cabin's resonant freq ?
-what options do i have to flatten freq response -without EQ ?
Thank you.
