I have a speaker cutting out on my 4AA's It is obvious it is a broken wire because I can wiggle it at the strain relief and short out the speaker.
Where do I start in the disassembly of these? I have looked for service manuals but cannot find one for this model. I have searched this website but cannot find the information I need.

I think these are basically the same as the esp-9's I just found.
On mine, after I gently pried up an edge of the ear cushions and popped them off, there were 4 screws to hold the cups on.

I'll check that out. Thanks. I didn't want to tear the cushions.
Be VERY careful when removing the clips into the drivers. Is very easy to pull out the pin and the voice coil wire is astonishingly thin. What I did on mine was simply cut a 1-2" pigtail and solder the wires to the original leads. A short piece of heat shrink tubing will keep it good. I used a piece of Belden 9451 to replace the left to right jumper between the ear pieces.
Koss still sells fluid cushions for the Pro-4AA for $5 a pair. These can be used on the ESP-9s but will be quite difficult to install because the ESPs are a little larger. Warming the cushions with a hairdryer makes it much easier to install.
