I've been attempting to use the shutdown pin 10 of the 3525 for delay start (not soft start). I just can't visualize the circuit.
I'll use a transistor from vcc to pin 10 to keep the pin held high then drive the base with an RC network. The base current could be used to charge the cap but the transistor will need to "swing open" quickly.
Any suggestions?

I was going to use a timer with a relay attached to it ,then use it to switch the main power similar to the car switcher on the ESP webpage.

Too complicated and expensive.
I need to play with this IC a little more. I'm wondering if the shutdown pin will discharge the softstart cap as well.
