I would be willing to bet that the sound room is more a lab with know acoustic treatments. Or in other words the room is not an unknown variable.
Me I am not a pro. I do this stuff for discovery and fun. I went over to the Rane site and read about setting up the speakers in a new venue for a gig. Yes I know that they are in the business of selling stuff.
Now to the chase, my ears have learned a lot with the help of a Behringer microphone and a Behringer DEQ2496 Real Time Analyzer.
My ears prefer a speaker output that tapers off a couple of db with each higher octive.
