Well, at least they eat fire ants.
Just goes to show, nobody's all bad. 🙂
Now if they can just find something that eats killer bees......

Killer bees and fire ants pale in comparison to the ecological damage caused by the un-natural introduction of this ant species to the area.

kinda gives a whole new meaning to "debugging" a circuit! perhaps the electronics of the future will come with built in purple bug zapping tubes in them. what a mess!
Ant Circuit?
Would it be possible that some sort of oscollator circuit could kill or repell these critters?

I seem to remember once seeing something about a sonic flea repellant....or was it roaches. Anyway, something like that could cut down on using poison.🙄
They used to be quite prevalent, using a cheap piezo horn to play ultrasonic frequencies. The more sophisticated ones used a sweep or combo of tones.
Critics and researchers kept claiming that they didn't work, but one writer for Popular Electronics claimed that they cleaned the mice out of his hunting cabin in the woods in short order and gave the schematic for one of his own design.
So who knows, maybe with the right combo of frequencies the idea might make a comeback. Haven't seen an ad for one in years.

a face powder...
These ants that come in my apartment are harmless. i have found that putting a little of dreamflower talc(face powder) in their path drives them away.
I have tried all the ant/insects repellant powders available here but non works as effective as this.

here we get poison sticks that looklike white chalk crayons... draw a line around the house (also leave a fine powder) and insects dissapear for quite a while...
