To the OP, If you are wondering how an airplane wing works in laypersons wording (I believe that is one of the things you were curious about and didnt understand. (hope i dont disapoint you Tom by going off topic)). basically the longer surface of the wing, 99.999999...% of the time being the top, makes tha air go faster over that surface. which makes it less dense AKA a lower pressure. whereas the air underneath stays about the same speed and pressure. Which all this pressure differential puts the wing through the path of least resistance, being up due to the lower pressure. I muchly hope this was a help to you and i hope i did not answer a question that was already answered. And Tom Danley i have a couple questions for you if you dont mind PM'ing me.
