You won't be able to achieve lower THD at higher frequencies if you have to increase the capacitive compensation of the VAS stage. I had to compensate the Lichtstark amp with 22pf to stop the 22mhz 30v p-p oscillation. the open loop gain is essentially the same at 20hz to 20khz resulting in THD numbers of 0.005% or less. Crossover distortion is the biggest component.

So you introduced a pole by adding a cascode in the input stage that was so low in frequency that you had to lower the dominant pole?!
