Has anyone made their own replacement wood or MDF cabinets for their Minimus-7 speakers? Or know of a link to plans?
I found a bagillion hits on Minimus 7 mods on the 'net - but none where someone took some scrap plywood and cobbled up replacement cabs for the little aluminum boxes.
Just not a huge fan of little metal boxed speakers...
Thanks all!

Try scoring some minimus 7's with walnut cabs. Found mine cheap at a yard sale for $10.
If not, just match up internal volume ( I would add some extra volume) for a modded x-over, ie. bigger inductors.

You wouldn't happen to know if anyone makes a "knockdown" cabinet kit that would work for these?

Hmm, a ~0.077 ft^3 cab is all that's needed, so seriously doubt there's any cabs, much less knockdown ones, this size as it's too big for a file, jewelry, etc., box and too small for any audio projects AFAIK. Maybe Micheal's has an unfinished purse or similar.
7" h x 4.5" w x 4.25" d [i.d., all inside] is close enough or increase it a bit if larger XO components are used.
