Homemade Long Play from cds or Live Recording

I am thinking to lathe my own long plays from cds or live concert.
Is it possible without investing too much ?

I do it other way around
Just kidding!


While it is not fully possible with live music and lathe, for you need to monitor signal ahead before you cut it to adjust to the groove distance, plus it has to be done in vibration free quiet environment, it can be done easily from reel to reel.

I record live jazz concerts on reel to reel first.
