Hello,
A friend of mine is looking at the possibility of building a pair of floorstanding speakers for his Home cinema system. He would like them to be fairly slim and pretty and I suggested, for cosmetic reasons, that he builds side firing active subs into them, allowing him to remove the crappy eltax sub he currently uses and free up some floorspace.
Because this is our first speaker project we don't want anything too expensive. We have enlisted the assistance of a woodworking buddy with a router and a benchsaw to build the cabinet.
Can anyone direct me to a good project which would fulfill our needs? Ideally it should be £200 or less per speaker (excluding cabinets and the amp for the sub). Also, should we be considering anything else at this stage?
Kind regards,
Edward
