Does moving them away from the wall improve sound?

Because of the shape, the panels are actually ~2ft from the wall. I haven't tried moving them further away because they'd get in the way of the adjacent hallway. I'm actually using the Hafler to power the panels and the leach to power the woofers. For some reason the leach amp sounded too harsh on the panels.

Congrats Wrl, a very neat job. Can you tell us what freq. you crossover to the woofer and your opinions of other frequencies tried.
