HiVi DM7500 .. in stock now .. 80 euros

How about a variation of the group buy idea?

If 10 people buying 1 driver for testing (the DM7600) then you have lost maybe $20 but if the driver is not good enough for a next project then you can erase this driver on your DIY list and spare even more that you would have spend on the wrong one!

Doing so we could help each other from all over the world!

good idea or bad 🙂

of course someone has to sacrifice himself and has to do all the work and all the measuring!

but you can keep the driver as a reference or use it elsewhere ... or sell it for full price to some big pocket guy 🙂

life is wonderfull you never know what happens next!

on a dull day you visit a DIY forum just hanging around but then suddenly a cool idea comes along smiling at you 🙂

How about a 3.5" dome midrange lookalike, Peerless GBS-85N25PR03-04? It's priced fairly at 6.7 GBP/piece.

The large dome causes a massive interference from the nearby tweeter maybe a piece of (Basotect/BASF) foam could avoid that ... needs to be checked first!

A large Magnetostat or AMT or Ribbon Driver could be a solution or a combination of both ...

Question is how long will this "bloak eye" will be available?

Btw - an acoustic solution would be to make the bulge driver to be an integral part of the upper cabinet edge!

Nothing can stop a true tech rambo from reaching audio exotica 🙂

What I really miss is the DA25TX/DA32TX combo from Peerless! But original price was quite high maybe too much for an already shrinking market ...

But why don't we kill ourselves with REAL drivers and live in heaven forever :

life can be cruel .. didn't I mentioned that before 🙂
