Hi there, new to forum, looking to make my first fullrange speaker using the HiVi B3n as I've got a pair at a reasonable price. Originally I was looking at building the pair as on Zaph|Audio or DocLorren's "HiVi b3S in mini transmission-line", but would prefer something larger, preferably floorstanding.
Just wondering if anyone out there would be kind enough to tell me what the best enclosure would be, or design a simple transmission line for this driver?

There are a couple of well modelled transmission line designs floating around for this driver.
There is little benefit from making the enclosures much bigger: a longer line doesn't help to lower F3 much but does introduce a big hole and the excursion makes a mess of the already perilously small Xmax.
I am making up some test mules this weekend for a variety of enclosures for this driver, and one of them is a TL so I will let you know if I find anything useful while modelling.
Perhaps folded in half, or even unfolded (MLTL maybe) may be tall enough to serve as a floorstander but either way it won't be very big.

I have testet the HiVi 3 inch in my TABAQ, and it works fine. However Tang Band Drivers do sound better than the HiVi. NB: Tne BSC is a MUST when using the HiVi driver.

Indeed, the TABAQ was one of the well designed enclosures I was referring to. 🙂
Not sure about other countries but in OZ the B3N/S is less than half the price of a TB. Driver cost is only one expense in a build however and may not even be relevant here given the OP already has the drivers.
Perhaps look at building the TABAQs or another appealing design, and then upgrade to TBs when funds allow.😉
