High Quality Passive PA Speakers?

Here's the inner workings of the Martin X12 -

All air cored inductors and film caps. HF is a celestion CDX1-1745 and LF is a 1225E. WG is 80x50 based on listening observations. The top end sounds like a decent dome tweeter. Mids are clean and open. No protection . Just a simple design that sounds better than many 4 digit priced speakers. If anything needs improving, its maybe more dampening material in the right places.

thats basically the problem with most PA speakers, because they cant handle volume with a 1.2-1.3khx xo. so "high quality" but bad polars.

Hi Patrick

I am wondering if it would make sense to just divide the tall room into an upper listening room and a lover living room! This high ceiling room seems lika a waste of space. And the room doesn't sound good either!?

Just a thought.
