Anyone got experience with Chinese enclosure makers that offered something high grade?
It appears that almost none of them offer a quality anodizing. If one does I’d like to know about it. There’s lots of nice brushed work but that’s all I’ve run into thus far.

Link gives errors. I see plenty or anodized things on the website but it never has a rich color. They tend to be pale and scratch super easy, if not very dull.
Getting a nice shiny anodized finish is a real PITA. Usually requires a lot of polishing, either in a machine of by hand. You're probably not seeing any because it costs.

You almost need a contact over there. Someone who's familiar with the industy. Otherwise you could be searching for some time.

It depends. Extremely uniform brushing can work.
But for example I had to reface every face plate from one manufacturer…
To me the flaw I see is more to do with weakness of color.

Stuff from China is a mixed bag in general. You may receive stellar quality or utter crap.
I was lucky with the three chassis I bought; you probably grabbed a bad one.
When I bought two of the same kind, the first one was absolutely perfect, the second one had slightly different tolerances and the gaps between the parts were not as perfect, albeit still very good.
Maybe everybody has a different definition what is good and I have lower expectations. I tried my best photographing the surface of a brushed anodized part that I find good. Well, the photo isn't good, but photographing a black and reflective surface isn't easy either. The small bright speckles are not visible by the bare eye BTW.

Can't, they were for a commercial product. They were fine once I was done but it was a boat load of extra labor and tool use.
