What do you mean by 'punch'? bass response? What about midrange detail, are they comparable?
Incidentally, you mentioned earlier that you had trouble marrying the ribbon to the deltapro. What was the issue? It didn't sound coherent? The sonic character is too different?
The ribbon tweeter you have looks huge, what tweeter is it?

The Delta Pro will have a better sense of "punch" because it has a higher ratio of BL to moving mass. Neither unit is particularly refined in the purest of the mid range; only a dedicated mid range unit can accomplish that. It's all about which compromises you can accept. With respect to my attempted marriage, I had a fixed x-over point of 3.5 K due to using an active unit. The Stage Accompany SA8535 is fine at that point, but not so much for the Delta Pro 8. Hope this helps. Sorry to be short -- but duty calls.
Looking at the response curve again 2kHz might be a good place to have the Crossover frequency. The on axis and 45 degree off axis frequency response is still quite close before they start to diverge...Thanks for clarification. Will keep that in mind...

I think I figured out why the Crossover frequency of 8 " drivers tend to be 2kHz.
I just realised I overlooked this woofer
H1471-08 CA22RNY
It has a fairly similar specs to the faitalpro 8Fe200, a bit heavier at 19.8 grams instead of 15grams. Motor strength is the same. Has a lot more xmax at +/- 7mm if you include in the one third of coil length like the Faital pro versus the 4.5mm from the Faital pro. The Fs is a lot lower at 34Hz vs 80Hz.
Has a sensitivity of 92-93db above 500Hz and about 94db between 1kHz-3kHz.
Any opinions/thoughts/experience on this driver?
Hmm, maybe since I have narrowed down to this two driver I might as well as seek opinion on this on another thread.
Thanks.

No. It is a 91dB driver, what you see between 500 and 1000Hz is a diffraction bump, because FR is not measured on an infinite baffle but on a given closed box.Has a sensitivity of 92-93db above 500Hz and about 94db between 1kHz-3kHz.

SEAS states that measurements are done according to IEC 268-5 which means it would have been measured mounted on a standardised baffle rather than a box.
Read the Seas datasheet. IEC 268-5 is referred to power handling only, and the FR is measured with a 21L closed box, no mention whatsoever of an IEC baffle. At least this is how I read it, and the shape of the FR, with baffle step supports that.
