Hi everyone,
I am building another boombox, and am a little intimidated by the choice of class D amplifiers available (I'm looking at you TI!). Last I looked there was pretty much just the TK2050 - but I assume things have moved on !
Can anyone advise? I'm looking for maximum efficiency & output on 22V supply (yes, I know it's limited by rails) - 2 / 4 ch required.
Thanks in advance, your time is appreciated 🙂

Thanks for the reply
Unfortunately, googles Russian translation seems to be as poor as my knowledge of the language (non existent). Do you have any links to english sources? Can't find any myself

How would a TPA3116 fare? Quiescent current is at 50mA and seems to fit the bill everywhere else? 🙂
Apologies, perhaps I should have stated my ability: I work as a design engineer by trade, with limited electronics. Experienced in microprocessors, basic analogue circuit design & SMD soldering - but this seems a stretch of my expertise. Was looking for an easier solution? (IE kit or premade)
Thanks 🙂
Thanks 🙂

Yes, looks like a simple solution fitting your needs. Also there are cheap readily built little modules on the market, have a look at TPA3116 thread (very long!)

- High efficiency class D @ 22V, better than TK2050?
