im working on one of these hifonics amps. its a newer model. the question i have is that the drive transistors are all kta1266 no pairs of drivers. just wanted to see if anyone has come across this in any newer hifonics amps. thanks

You weren't specific but many power supply driver circuits using the TLx94 driver IC use a diode and PNP transistor to drive the FETs.

oh sorry the driver transistors for the power supply are all kta 1266

The C3198s are the NPN of the pair.

You can confirm by checking for continuity between the base and emitter of each pair.
