Amp is stuck in protection mode I get 6.59 volts on pin 16 of the 594
Even tho it’s stuck in protection mode I get 9 volts of every leg of the outputs
TIP35/36
Any ideas where to start ?

Between pin 16 of the 594 I bet 0.01 ohms on pins 2,6,9.13 of the 324.
Not sure if that’s enough info if not I will have to pull the driverboard and take the 594 out to trace the circuit

Those aren't the output terminals of the 324 so the signal may be coming from off of that board. Does pin 16 connect to any header pins of the driver board?
No.
I replaced the board with a known working one from another amp and still same issue amp is in protection mode.

What are the chances of having a duplicate board from a 30 year old amp?
Does this amp use the ANW6 and ANW7 networks in the audio circuit?

If the driver board is easy to remove, I'd install the 594 into a socket and lift pin 16 so that it's out of the circuit. Then connect the lifted pin 16 to pin 7 of the 594 to see if the amp will power up.
With all of the outputs and rectifiers out of the amp its still in protection mode .

Hi CarAudioguy,
I really struggled with a similar situation.
Please see this thread :HiFonics Hercules VIII have me beaten
I had leakage that kept the amp in protect.
Hope this helps!

The problem I faced was never located on the driver board, even though that was where I chased it for a long time, it was ANW12.
