You could always use the pigtail leaded ones and solder them in to eliminate the contact issue.
How do you determine the directionality of the solder?
IMHO these things work. Please no "double blind test" flames etc? I am a tech person as well so I know all about test design. I found some improvement when used in my amp but little or none in anything else. Given how much the crazy hobby costs, I'll buy the fuses for any amp I own, its only $25 in the US.
Just thought I'd update the thread.
A few buddies bought some of these fuses and I've been polling them to see how they got on, about a month or so down the road. The poll is not finished but most of the responses are that they made small difference, but not huge. Interestingly a few have used them in TVs and said they had an improvement in the picture quality.
I'll update again at the end of the poll.

It would be interesting to see whats inside.
Perhaps if somebody blows one a post-mortem could be done?

The same that's inside any other fuse.

Do you guys not seriously think that any "perceived" difference comes down to the persons expectation...
To say the TV picture "improved" ... well I'm lost for words 🙂

A recent issue of AudioXpress had an article with similar claims. The guy was just putting line filters inside metal project boxes. He must not have realized that every device with a switching supply already has the same kind of filter. A common mode choke, a few X or Y caps, nothing exotic.
If you hear a difference then some type of change has taken place. If something changed then it should be measurable.
Don't know till you look though - maybe there's little magic pebbles or something inside 🙂The same that's inside any other fuse.
(or even something marginally useful like a ferrite bead, but I doubt it)
