Hi I'm George.
I'm a guitar tech.
when the old guy that did amps retired a year a go
I said I would help out on the small things As I maintain/mod my many valve amps. I've been doing there pedal repairs for years.
Most amp I repairs are just soldering replacing jack socket, cleaning pot checking voltages, just normal. I have had to do some big repairs on blown burnt up stuff. Valve amps with beer spilled in them and the board carbonised a rewire around the burn stuff.
In my workshop I have the normal test equipment.
Variac
DMMs
Signal tracer.
Inline bulb.
Nothing fancy. I wouldn't know what to do with it.
I hope to learn a lot and hopefully get some help on the tough stuff.
Thx

Hi Geroge and welcome to diyAudio! It sounds like you have a pretty firm grounding so I am sure you will feel right at home here 🙂

Thank you
Im not so good with the duel rail power side of amps. PA heads drive me crazy.
But I'm learning whither i like it or not. They arent even looking for a proper tech.
Looking forward to learning more.
240v will wake you up in the moring. Lol
