Been watching this build with interest. However, I can't help but agree with the comments earlier that this woofer isn't really suitable for this sort of use. You are a long way into the build now and it looks good, so I hope that you are satisfied with the end result, but I fear you won't be.
I could suggest more suitable woofers (it'd still be wise to lower the crossover point as this is an MTM), but it'd involve changing the cabinet tuning and crossover quite extensively 🙁
Best of luck with it, I look forward to seeing it completed and reading your thoughts on the sound!

I have already listened to this configuration and I have was pleasantly surprised.
I thus have well hope and I cross fingers.

PS: Do you know BD Swindon?

Hello,
Can you tell me you're opinion please about supply?
Single amplification or dual-amplification with my Technics amplifier?
Regards.

I am sorry to say this but... an honest word?
The woodwork is excellent!
Driver choice is * however* poor. The Swans will never, i second all others there, will never ever work with the xover point @ 3200 Hz. try for yourself.
Cheers

Good work! Rather than sit in this chair and flippantly trash your design like others here have done, I'm going to assume you know what you are doing. And even if you don't, you are learning and sharing the process. From the supplied plot of the 5.8, 3k looks fine when you factor in summed response from the tweeter's rolloff.
Thank you very much, effectively I think of knowing that I make (many researches, calculations Manuel, calculation with programs, advice of professionels and I have already listened to this configuration who was not bad.
Indeed for the purists it seems original but the voucher we will look the resultat once Loudspeaker installed and connected.
Thank you InclinedPlane of your comment.
Goodbye

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Sorry monsieur Eclerj , but that's crazy . I mean , I chased a high sensibility tweeter for two months ,and I arrived on choosing the same model as you , but the woofer's sensitivity is 90 dB -which makes 96,02 dB when paralleling two- maybe the 1W/1m is different from 2,83 V /1m ? For two woofers ,each 83 dB's sensitivity, a 89-90 dB tweeter would be better ,there are a lot of them and much cheaper . A Vifa ring radiator has very low resonance freq ,so it can also be crossed some octaves lower than the Audax ( which is suggested in the presentation to be XOed at 2500 Hz...) , just to meet the natural drop of the Hi-vi mid-woofer.

Hi,
I have mounting one resistance to downgrade of 2db the tweeter. Like that bass, medium and trble are in harmony...

I just stopped reading at first page of the thread ...since I was viewing something that interested me
Great job you've done
Wait !!! You padded down 2 dB the tweeter ?!? So I might have to choose the 96 dB version ???? Oh my God !!!
