I've been lurking here for *quite* a while
, and figured I needed to finally register so I can comment on all the stuff I used to know, thought I knew, kinda remember, or made up on the spot. 😉
I work at a contract manufacturer for -- electronics! Mainly I work on the surface mount automation machines that actually put the parts on the boards we build. We also do some through-hole stuff too. We've built everything from phones, modems, computers, several audio boards, including a complete EQ rack for professional use at concerts. It's been interesting, to me at least.
So, I guess my newest hobby and my job are almost the same...isn't that the old trick to happiness? 😉
I've made a couple power supplies, and recently completed a Leach Amp I put in an old computer case. Sounds good even with the cruddy speakers I have on hand (50w Aiwa 3 ways from 10 years ago). Got to get some better speakers.
So, I'm guess outta wind for now. On to other things.
