Hello all! I found this website after a google search and let me just say, wow! I like it very much, so here I am, lol!
Anyways, vintage gear is my game. I have a extensive collection of vintage receivers, amps, and Speakers. Every now and then, I rotate my gear but most of the time I play my Pioneer SX-1980 and Kenwood Model Sevens. Truly a heavenly sound. High End Detail that is so clear you can hear the most minute nuances. Midrange that is full, rich and very clear. The purest, quickest, flattest Bass I have ever heard, capable of sustaining 25 Hz at 150 watts of power.

I forgot to say that my area of DIY is with my speakers, although much of them is mainstream vintage, I usually tune mine with custom surrounds, cap values, crossover frequencies, bracing, etc, to acheive the sound that best fits my ears. The only speakers I have ever encountered that didn't need any of my DIYing are the 260 Lbs worth of 1975 Kenwood Model Sevens, which by the way had a MSRP when new in '75 of $2700!
hi SY, thanks! I wish I could, hehe. Unfortunately I work 12 hrs every day and my only day off is Monday. Can you tell me about the details of the Event?

Take a look on the main page of this site. On the right, there's a box with upcoming events. Click on Lone Star and you'll find out far more than you'd ever want to know.😀
Hi Big Tuna,
Welcome to diyaudio! You're certainly among friends and like-minded individuals around here.
Always more than happy to meet someone with an appreciation for good equipment. But that stuff isn't vintage for pete's sake! I used to sell some of it when it was new. Anyway, you will find lot's to talk about in the various forums. Problem is, you're going to disappear .... sucked into the vortex of audio and ideas.
Enjoy!
