Hello from the Research Triangle Park metro area.
Been involved with audio since 1980, on and off, and also had a HAM radio license at one point so I am familiar with electrical theory and some instruments.
Have been reading the forums for a while and decided to finally sign up and introduce myself.
My main speakers are commercial Martin Logan ESL's and I currently use Marantz mono blocks to drive them with mostly a DAC and my laptop.
In the future I'd like to start DIY with a class-D amp and soon some speakers.

Welcome. I'm from the land down under. I was at RTP on an assignment at IBM in June / July this year, which was my third trip to the USA, 17 years since the previous one.Hello from the Research Triangle Park metro area.
Thanks guys.
I am a former IBMer myself. Use to be in the Software Division until 1995. Small world.

Welcome to the forum. I'm just down I-40, in the middle of the state. The RTP area has a lot of good audio going on, you are well located.
Welcome..............there are more of us in North Carolina than I thought.🙂

Maybe we should start a North Carolina DIY Audio and BBQ Club.

I've tried, I've tried! I even set up a Google mailing list and group. I was about the only one who ever posted. I didn't want it to be a blog. Getting audio guys out of the house to meet seems darn near impossible. 🙁Maybe we should start a North Carolina DIY Audio and BBQ Club.
