Greetings from New Zealand.
This is all pretty new to me - DIY audio, forums in general. I've always enjoyed music, maybe more so now even than ever before. I've always tried to have decent audio around the house, nothing fancy or expensive, more of a best value approach, especially in the longer term. I've had some vintage solid state integrated that I regret leaving in Canada when we relocated to NZ (including a Yamaha CR-2040).
My background is in engineering (structural) and I tend to be pretty hands on with most things around the house. I hate throwing things away and that's how I found my way here - have a little project that presented itself and could really use some guidance.
