My amp had suffered shipping damage, will also check to make sure if the toroidal power supplies are intact, thanks, Ilson
Rough handling in shipping could easily have created broken PC board connections at the heavy transformer. Sometimes the cracks are fine and tough to see and create intermittent and heat related contact seperation. You can test this to some degree with a slap test if the amp is working to see if you can make it trip out.
Thanks 20to20,
I will be looking more closely at this, will take out the top cover and front face plate, but also will do your suggestion of testing.
At first was thinking to be a similar problem to how I read in an Amazon customer review of his 3-channel version, to have been a bad IC chip, but it could also be the problem you mentioning.
I have a home repair that will prioritize this before the cold weather hits. But will in between look at this amplifier issues. Will report in this forum, once have done this.
I started to use this forum only in Oct 2018 with this amplifier issue, (even thought it shows 2010), maybe some information had looked back then that don't remember.
For a moment when saw this date of 2010, it got me confused what year we were in now, very strange how our brain works, and plays these tricks.
There has been very good information given by the members of diyaudio that in time could lead to a repair, and want to say thanks to all that have responded.

OK, good luck with it. Hope it's easy access to the boards. Bottom plate?
Only now have I started to try to apply sound thru this MC amplifier again. What its doing is that when turn on the amplifier, will power cycle, turning on and off for a few minutes, then it stops and works ok.
When the power cycling happens,I hear a clicking sound, like a relay turning on and off. I have removed the cover, and this relay can be felt to be cycling on and off.
Its possible that this is the cause, but not really sure if something else is causing the relay to act like this.
if someone had a similar problem, and figure out the actual cause, would like to try also on my amp, and see if the power cycling stops.
Thanks, Ilson

The relay is probably the protection / muting relay or the standby power relay. Check each connection wire, specially the ones from the PSU to the rails. Perhaps You have a loose spade connector. Check if they are firmly seated and don't come off easily. When the amp is running measure for DC on the outputs to determine if it is going in protection mode. Check for bad solder pads also.
I checked all connections and visually checked the circuit board, and did not see anything out of place.
Once I turn on the amplifier, for about 10 minutes will keep turning on/off, then this stops and seems to work fine afterwards.
I have to disconnect the speaker terminals, otherwise it will cause a thump noise on the speakers, and damage especially the tweeters, for they are the most fragile,
thanks
