HH V800 Amplifier Worth Fixing?

I have an HH V800 amp in for service. The owner bought it non-working and took it to someone service. They replaced the Hitachi MOSFETs in one channel with Exicon parts. There's approximately 42V DC on the output of that channel. Many of the carbon film resistors are way out of tolerance or just open? I guess they just fail from old age? IMO the driver board probably needs a lot of work. I'm wondering if this is worth the trouble to attempt repairing?

Depends, is there anything badly burnt on the PCB's?
Haven't seen the Hits replaced with Exicons yet, interesting.

Is it in PA duty? For home use these aren't ideal as the fan runs at either 0 or 100% RPM based on a thermal switch on the heatsink. They also have noisy transformers (at least that was my experience with 3 of them at 230V).

I have one of those I purchased from an unscrupulous seller in Puyallup WA who collects Carver equipment.
Mine had the gates deteriorated in the outputs where it could play at a low volume.
Guy demonstrated it using some tiny speakers…

The case is now used for a pair of transformers configured as a line isolation device. The legendary hair bands that owned them weren’t convincing enough to make me want to try and save it.

I don't know if I want to spend countless hours working on this only to find additional problems. Like the Exicon parts don't work well in the circuit. Oscillation etc. Also, the outputs in the supposed good channel may have issues too. Seems like it may be a can of worms. The driver board probably needs to be completely gone through to start.

Personally, I don't think it's worth it. It's not as though it's simply removing a couple of parts.
You'll want to spend as little time as possible, get paid and move on to the next amp.

Check with your customer whether he'll like to sell the amp.
I'm in ME, so shipping cost would not be exorbitant.
If the price is reasonable, I wouldn't mind buying it.

Not that I intend to repair it.
I'll probably gut it and re-purpose the parts.
My main concern is the transformer.
I have a HH amp that came with a buzzing transformer.
Very disappointing.
