My Name is Dan, I'm a long time lurker both here and on GroupDIY, finally decided to contribute to these wonderful communities!
I'm originally from Miami, FL but currently living in Nashville, TN as I was attending The Blackbird Academy for the past 6 months. Eyeballing a move to NY to intern in some studios. My passion for audio has led me to pursue a career in audio engineering, with a focus on mixing, though attending Blackbird really made me fall in love with recording live instruments and the art of setting up microphones and EQ'ing at the source.
I'm particularly interested in old Altec, Klangfilm, Western Electric and JBL gear, and DIY projects such as cabinet building and crossover design! There is just something about those old boxes that looks right to my eyes. I'm a novice but I'm looking to expand my knowledge and tackle some projects head on, & I Hope to meet all of you soon enough!
