Help with wiring
I'm try to work out the outputs from this power supply to the amp pcb and speaker protection board.
I have 32v Vee and Vaa and GND in the pain section and +15 0 -15 in the other.
Thanks

You have a dual voltage power supply +32V and -32V plus the 15V supplies and your amplifier only requires a single supply of minimum +24V to maximum +48V i dont know how the smps power supply would like having only one of its main outputs loaded , perhaps someone else could answer that , likewise the 15V outputs .

The speaker protection board you have commons the speaker grounds together will the class D amp ( Shui Yuan Audio ) like this ?
I have just looked at the data sheet for the TPA3255 which your amp board uses (Shui Yuan Audio ) and suggest you DONT use the speaker protection board you have with this amp as it will short together 2 of the amplifiers outputs .
Help with wireing
And spelling too? (Sorry, could not help myself - I am such a ******!!)
You need a single rail power supply - the dual SMPS you have will not be happy using only one of the two rails (dont ask me how I know this)
Also as epicyclic indicates, most Class D amps have a "hot" pos and "hot" neg speaker outs (they are BTL)...and using that speaker protector will short the neg side of your amp...
Good thing is you can easily sell off the speaker protect and SMPS you have on this site!
Not using gnd side of speaker protection
Thanks for the spelling update 😉
I was not going to use the GND side of the speaker protection. Would that be an option.

Also any recommendations for a power supply - I don't have a massive budget.

Unless the 2 gnd outputs are separate ... on the protection module
it would take a photo of the protection pcb tracks to validate!
See my Shui Yuan review on the other thread )
No need to add any speakers protection since this module is fully protected + anti pop.
You need a 36V to 48V single rail PSU.

As Dani said, it's purely optional.
I never had a problem of ploc or dc voltage on the tpa modules (except some), My speakers have always worked well, normally the protection is intergé in the chip.

This is the one I have
This is the power supply I've ordered so will it be OK with the Shui Yuan amp?
How did you connect with three terminals on PS and two on AMP

TENSION ... single only!
0-36 volts to max 48 volts!
So like this?

with this power supply ... you only use half of its power ... this power supply is not suitable.
For about the same price take a look at Meanwell lrs-350-48 or lrs-350-36 alot of people use in class d amps

Yes I was looking at these but the size of them put me off 215x115.
My enclosure if only 189 x 200 🙁
