Hi all years ago i had a 41hz amp 6 basic loved it i thought it was better than my musical fidelity pre and power amp. Now i am looking for a ready built board with same sort of quality but with a bit more power for when i fancy a blast. Been looking at the hifime diy boards. Any advice help would be great

Hi thanks for the help hoka what power supply are you using with the amp and do you find it has enough power
I am using a 500 watt switching power supply but I also used a regular 300 watts transformer.
With both it plays more than loud enough for my taste, It definitely has a lot more punch than the TA2020 chip in the Amp 6 (or the Charlize, which is my reference) The TA2022 chip in this one still has the trypath magic that is hard to find in the modern class D amps.

Thank you for that they are hard to beat for money i have only heard the amp 6 basic so can not comment on any others
