Help with Tube Buffer for passive pre

Hi all, I am looking to build a tube based buffered passive pre -- which I guess would be a cathode follower. I have built solid state ones (buffers that is), but I thought this might be a good first tube project.

There seem to be several 6dj8 circuits people use for this. I thought, however, I might branch out a bit and try it with a single 6sn7 instead.

I am looking for comments as to whether this tube is a good choice or whether the 6dj8 (or something else) is better. Also, any links to what to start reading would be greatly appreciated. I have not managed to find an existing circuit to start from online yet. Also, l looked at Frank's Ulitimate Tube Preamp, and while this seems to be the concept I am looking for, I think it is too much for a beginning project.

Thanks for any suggestions or help,

-d
