Hi pgrAm. I am wondering whether you ever came to a conclusion on this 6AU6 reverb driver? I am about to build a stereo reverb unit with exactly them tubes as "current" drivers and I would love to hear any news of how yours turned out 🙂. Before I start pulling my hair out wondering why I aint getting enough 'verb!

Yeah I did eventually get it working but I don't really use it as a guitar reverb, it would really need another amplification stage before the 6au6 for that as the signal to noise is pretty terrible when operating at guitar level. I use the unit as at +4dbu line level for recording/mixing in my studio now and it performs quite well.
OK cool well my intention is to drive it with +4dBu in a studio environment so the single pentode stage should work for me 🙂. Can you please tell me what values you settled on for the anode resistor compared to your schematic using 36K? And if you changed any other values to improve things? I am trying to get SPICE working here to simulate it but I'm having issues...
I believe I kept the 36k resistor, but I changed the coupling cap after the recovery stage to 2600pf. I also fitted a higher current power supply with a much beefier transformer which I think made a difference. Even at +4dbu I think the design could likely benefit from another gain stage but it still works without one.
