Hi. I wanted to set up my projector outdoors and i wanted to know if anyone could help me on where to start with equiptment for quality movie sound outside. i know the standard home cinema equiptment will be of no use out doors. i was thinking maybe those loud speakers that they use at clubs and a strong amp would do the trick but i really dont know. i'm new at this.

How big of an event is this?
Quite frankly, have you ever considered hiring a sound
company for such a job?
Is this just a small outdoor family gathering, or, we
are talking ticket sales here?

it's only a small family event. say max of 10-12 people. mainly it will be older vhs tapes being played so the quality of the audio may not be as up to scratch as new digital sound so the reciever or amp must not have too much harmonic distortion.
