Help with NAD C325BEE blowing fuse

Hi all. I have a problem with a NAD C325BEE blowing the 500mA fuse on the power board. All voltages test OK from power board. This fuse is on the 8VAC line going to the main board - it only blows when connected. It appears this line is rectified and supplies 5V to IC's. Could you give me an idea where to start to find the fault? Cheers

Begin by disconnecting the 5 volt feed (to wherever it goes) and see if the fuse blowing stops.

It is either the load (the circuitry supplied by the 5 volts) drawing excess current or a fault with the bridge rectifier/7805 reg/reservoir cap.
