Lost in translation, picowallspeaker, it's actually a mere 2R @ 5W adjustment, which is about 1dB.
As far as I know, this speaker is an 89dB type. So whatever the loudness and type of the tweeter is, you adjust accordingly.
Weird circuit with terrible impedance. The shunt 1mH coil on the mid is too small and the series 26uF too big. The bass filter needs more capacitance and inductance too.

Nooo, I was just paranoid!
Indeed, you have a moving part inside the speaker...
The tweeter probably received a clipped signal and it burned, like mine...
What you have to do when installing the new tweeters is to check if the "balance" is right; if the tweeter level is too high, the rheostat won't do much.
Removing the terminal's cup that houses the crossover is not that difficult
and making some changes such putting two resistors it's not a difficult task.
I still suggest to leave the crossover out of the enclosure and put a patch in the hole

4 Ω woofer in there 🙄
4 Ω woofer in there 🙄
I tried that and it didn't help at all. The bass capacitor is still too small for 600Hz/42000Hz crossover points. It's a polycone bass as far as I know, but that makes no difference at 600 Hz.
...slopes !? 🙄
And what about the replacement for the dome midrange ?
Would this suit ? http://www.scan-speak.dk/datasheet/pdf/d7608-920010.pdf

This one, the Scanspeak works right, out of the box for me for what I see fs=300hz/SPL=92db but I am still looking for similaryties dough I don't know how many others there are up into this price. Up to here is worth investing cause maybe and what I saw but not quite remember Infinity had it's replacement at this money. So this does for me but not more. Thanks!

Do you ever feel you are drowning in a thread? 🙁
WHAT are we doing here?
Changing the mid or the (blown) tweeter?
I covered all the tweeter options.

Now I'm getting 🙄 from picowallspeaker and talk of Scanspeak mids from Oszkar. I just try and keep it simple. It's a cheap and cheerful 4 or 8 ohm (and I don't know because Oszkar hasn't measured the moving coil bass and mids...) 3 way speaker with a blown tweeter. Can't be hard, can it?

Sorry! I will change the tweeter that is what is going to happen 🙂. ) to be discussed in another thread. The mids are of aome sord of paper, the original ones and get time damaged so such a replacement is needed but it will be discussed in another thread I guess when needed, a little further. Mine are still good so next year I will get the replacements in.

Well, you guys I got a pair of Beyma T-2030 here on top and listened to them for 20 minutes. They are loud, clear and if there is a metal instrument being played in the track than you hear it. I still need to ask: would the DT-109 sound between Silk and Titanium or just like silk the titanium just being there to add a little stiffness and heat dissipation?

These 2 Beyma's came to me at the posibility to have them achieved at half price but the thing is: The one depicted in the 3rd picture with me trying to put in picture the question I will mention has: Had the dome bended and debended by the owner while it was dismatled to laquer it seems the plate of the tweeter with spraypaint. Thin lines are pressent on the surface of the whole tweeter and it was messured against this other one that is mint non laquered not nothing and messurements show them identically. What should I do buy or leave them? should I pay full price for new ones (do they have ferrofluid inside?) for the ferrofluid would be fressher and not dry out quicker over the time over these ones?

Sorry! this one was supposed to sound like: ''I am changing the tweeter in the end with Beyma T-2030. The mids made out of paper, will be changed aswell in 2 years.'' Thank you all for your understanding and support!
Well you guys my Emit came home repaired as it was sent into service! It works good!
Ordered the Beymas but they will be put in my next project!
As a replacement option for the tweeter, if needed:
- Beyma, titanium dome tweeter with phase plug - if attenuated from theyr 95db to the 89db necessary for these speakers they sound much like the emit because they are made out of metal.
- Marantz Model 940 super tweeters (only for build type): I have listened to them on these and they are textile (Silk). They sound good with these but there is not so much metal characteristic sound (crash cymbal) as they are not metal.
- Another pair of ribbons: I have not tried another pair of ribbons but you have to take care where your cut point is for ribbons according to speakers 4200Hz crossover cut point.
Iwould replace them with a pair of dome tweeter if needed! They last longer!
I hope I have covered the tweeter replacement option for the future!
Thank you all for your support!
