You can pay several times that at Radio Shack, or look in places like MCM, All Electronics, or other discount houses. That price is not bad.

A standard headphone splitter is typically a third of that price or less, but the one you listed is relatively uncommon. Low volume items usually cost more. Plus, anything with "gaming" in its description or use usually commands a premium.
