Help with generally accepted method for testing low frequency with REW

Hi, I am wondering what the general distances for the mic are when using REW for low frequency. I have seen many captions that state the low frequency graph is not accurate. I suppose that I am wondering if some standard method has been agreed upon in the community.

for nearfield do as follows-
centre the mic on the dust cap.
position 5mm away from the cap.
ensure no contact occurs when the stimulus is applied to the DUT.
this meaurement does not show baffle step/room effects.
