Steen Duelund never explained himself very well, due to the language barrier form his native Swedish, but his target curves were spot on:
Do it like Troels Gravesen in his SEAS 3 way classic and everything falls into place, including a flattish impedance which many expensive commercial speakers just don't get near.
A 5" mid gives better power handling than a 4", so is quite acceptable IMO. A 3 way is really all about the mid, IMO. The bass and treble just have to fit in.
This is actually quite close to my dream speaker. Loud without effort! Many congratulations. 😎
