Hello people of diyaudio.
I am looking to reuse an old set of fairly well build enclosures for a new project. The enclosures have cutouts for two 10" drivers on the front panel and a removable rear panel, as shown in the attached picture.
I currently don't have the capability to make new enclosures from scratch, but i should be able to build new rear panels plus what other small changes/fixes would be needed.
The enclosures have an internal volume of about 95 liters, but i would like to use a pair of hypex fusion plate amps so i expect the volume to be closer to 85-90 liters with their box included.
I have already tried modeling the enclosure in bassbox 6 pro with a single peerles XXLS-P835016 per box and a bending bassreflex tube of 100mm radius by 452mm length that's flared in both ends. This seems to be an ok option with an F3 of under 24hz, though i am unsure if a peak vent air velocity of 18.4m/s is ok.
My goal is to get a frequency response from around 20hz to 200-300hz. I hope you guys can help me with ideas for drives suited for this enclosure 🙂

2x PEERLESS XXLS-P835016 work great in one sealed enclosure (45L+45L) with a lower power amp for each driver (power handling RMS100 Watts) or double for both. This is for accurate listening as sometimes is needed, not for PA.
For a BR a different driver would result better. The enclosure size is too big for one driver and small for both.🙂
Edit: the problem with BR is that you need 500W to move the 12mm of Xmax and driver is only 100W RMS. But it models pretty fair for one driver in each enclosure with a low Fb ~20Hz and very long ports.

Inductor thank you for the response, i will take it into consideration 🙂.
Brian: The drivers are a pair of old ravemaster vxt104. Ok for the price i gave 10+ years ago, but i would like to make something to replace my old cerwin vega clsc15's for (sub)woofer duty in my primary stereo. So i am looking for something with better sound quality.

Since i posted this thread i remembered that there are companies that offer to cnc cut the wood needed larger projects such as a new enclosure. So i think i'll pause this project to find out how much this would cost, as my main problem is that i don't have access to a proper table saw for precision cuts.
I had actually considered making a similar solution to his bottom section of the elipticor-4: Ellipticor-4.
Hmm i will see what i can find out before designing/bying anything.
