I'm planning on building a pair of SE KT88 monoblocs based on a schematic posted in another thread by Mikael Abdellah. I think I've decided on tube rectification in each monobloc and on Hammond iron (1628SE, 272HX, 193G). Tube complement looks like KT88, 6N1P and 5Y3GT rectifier.
I'd like to do them as mirror images, keep leads short, try to use little or no hookup wire, just soldering component leads together. So, any recommendations on laying out the components? Any photos of similar projects?
